WELCOME TO JOIN BALLROOM & LATIN DANCE CLUB!

Before you may participate in the activities of the Ballroom and Latin Dance Club, you must agree to the terms of the RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT. Please click here to download and read the agreement carefully before you join in any activity. Thank you!

What are the On-site Suggestions & Rules?

• Come 10 minutes early to sign up when you take your first lesson. If you like to get there much earlier, there are lovely sofas in the hallway, so you can meet and chat with friends there to wait until the dance room is ready.

• No dress code for lessons or parties! Wear what is comfortable for you to move and dance. During parties and festivals, we encourage ladies to wear comfortable dresses or beautiful skirts, but they are unnecessary.

• Bring clean, smooth-sole shoes with you and change into. No street shoes are allowed on the dance floor! Dance shoes with smooth bottoms are the best! High heels (or pointed heels/thick heels) shoes aren’t recommended!

• Free, convenient parking in the parking lot, but it is better to park close to the left side main door (The police station is at the right end of the building)!

• No alcoholic beverages and drugs are allowed in the premises and building. Fountain water is available in the hallway.

• Everyone must leave the building by 10:00 pm. The Dance Room must be closed at 9:10 pm on Wednesdays and 9:55 pm on Saturdays.

• We do post pictures and videos of classes or parties on social media outlets. By joining activities at the Ballroom and Latin Dance Club, you give us permission to use your images for marketing and promoting dance classes and events.

• You are encouraged to take photos anytime, and videos during party time on Saturdays 7:50 – 9:00 pm. Please DO NOT take videos during lessons to avoid making other people feel awkward. You can post your photos and videos anywhere you like, but the Studio retains the right to ask you to remove the posts if anything is wrong or/and other students/customers have concerns/complaints about the related posts.

What can I learn here?

We teach Partner dances which include at least 18 popular dances from the Basic level - Social level - Intermediate Level-Advanced level: Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cumbia, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Night club 2-step, Country 2-step, Hustle, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Tango, Foxtrot, Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Bolero, Samba, Polka, etc. We still accept REQUESTS. If you really want to know some special dances, contact us, then we can consider them.

How can I know I am Learning with average speed?

We teach 2-3 steps for 2 dances in each lesson. If you are a dance beginner, we expect you to learn one basic dance step well for each dance. If you cannot practice even one basic step with others during class, you are deemed to be a slower learner. You can consider taking some private lessons first to make sure you can follow the group lessons’ speed and have fun with others.

If you are a dance beginner and can practice with others with all steps we taught easily, you are deemed to be a faster learner. You can consider taking private lessons to learn more dances/steps quickly to enjoy Saturdays' parties  and have fun! Please click Private Lessons for details.

What are the Benefits of joining the Group Classes?

Group dance lesson allows you the opportunity to make and dance with new friends and practice your dance leading or following techniques regularly with a different partner. This is an effective method for developing relevant dance skills.

Group dance lessons each last 50 minutes regularly, might plus 10 minutes of practice. You do not have to sign up with a partner. Classes are conducted where we always switch partners so everyone can dance with a different partner! If you both are life partners and do not want to change partners, please tell the instructor to arrange it.

Group dance lessons are the most affordable way to begin to dance. We have several price programs for you to select for savings. Please click Prices/Payments for details.

Remember: If you are a dance beginner, you cannot join Wednesday’s second class as your first lesson at 8:10 pm because that is not beginner level. You should take the 7:10 – 8:00 pm lesson first, then continue the second lesson (same dances each night). Saturday evening, 6:50 – 7:50 pm will be suitable for beginners too (following 2 hours dance practice party, only $15 for 3 hours). Please click Wednesday Classes and Saturday Lesson & Party for details.

What are the Benefits of Private Lessons?

If you are learning to dance faster or slower than others, or you want a more personalized format, or you have some favorite dances you wish to focus on, or you have goals to participate in performances or competitions, you do need private lessons.

Private dance lessons help you improve your dancing skills quickly.

This is the most effective way to learn leading or following techniques. Private lessons provide a customized and personalized teaching plan to meet your goals; the teaching method is based on your current level and skill with individual attention from the instructor. Convenient daytime and weekend appointment times are available with the instructors. Please click Private Lesson for details.

What is the payment and Expiration policy?

We accept payments through Venmo, Zelle, Cash, and checks from our regular students. All payments for classes are due before lessons have been taken. All sales are final with no returns and no refunds.

Expiration Dates:

All Monthly membership cards and Punch cards will expire 6 months from the time you purchased them or earlier if you have already started to use them.

Please click the Prices/Payments page for details.
